M ~ The Husband of 9 Years

M and I have known each other since the age of 15.  We went to the same small, private school together.  We sat at the same lunch table each day, but both had other love interests all throughout high school.  We reconnected a few years after high school and dated on and off for years.  We both dated others during these years, but always ended up together again whenever we were both single.  Neither of us ever thought it would turn into anything more...until 2001.  I was offered a job at Johns Hopkins and was going to be moving away to Baltimore.  This is when we both realized, at the same time, that if I moved we would really miss each other.  I often say that love is all about timing and circumstances, and I truly do believe that in our case. 

M was a punk musician turned police corporal.  I know it seems like quite a leap!  We are very similar in some ways and very different in others...and it works.  While I am an open book, my husband is VERY private.  He prefers that I do not blog about him and I completely respect his wishes.  He is a good guy all around a fabulous father to our precious bundles!

Sarah ~ My Step-Daughter (age 11)

Sarah is a as sweet, caring and brilliant as they come!  I have been a part of Sarah's life since she was 8 months old.  We have her at our home every other weekend, for several weeks each summer and during winter and spring breaks from school.  Sarah attends a gifted school in the city she lives in with her mother.  Have I told you yet how brilliant she is???  I don't really have permission to talk about Sarah on my blog, so that is why you won't see lots of pictures and stories that include her.  My love for her, however, is insurmountable.  She's as special as they come :-)

Emma ~ My Daughter (age 8)

Emma is a fun and spunky little girl, who keeps us on our toes!  She is very emotional and very resilient all in one.  Emma is also very smart and LOVES to read (just like her mommy).  She was a gymnast for a few years, but has recently taken a liking to cheerleading.  She is also a Brownie.  Emma is in 2nd grade.

Jacob ~ My Son (age 4)

Jacob is ALL boy, but he is super sweet too!  Jacob is in his second year of pre-school.  He loves all things monsters, star wars, batman, etc...  The best part...he's a Mommy's Boy!  Jake has Asthma and severe food allergies, so his health has kept us busy.  Thank goodness, he's had a pretty healthy stretch this past year.
